About.
Stephanie Atkins describes herself as a new songwriter/singer in a mad dash to make up for lost time. A lifelong Mainer and lover of music, Stephanie Atkins has only been actively songwriting since 2017, but in that time has written and produced two albums, “Skinny Jean Bonfire,” (July 2019) and “Promise Street”
( July 2021).
In September 2019, Atkins was selected to open the Maine Songwriter’s Showcase as MSA’s Emerging Artist, opening for one of her favorite Maine songwriters, Sara Trunzo.
In July of 2019, Atkins had the good fortune to play at both the Commodore and Bluebird Cafe Open Mic in Nashville, TN. In 2020, Atkins’ story was featured in Maine Women’s magazine.
Most recently, Atkins has returned to the studio with her oldest daughter, Sydney, to record a rewrite of “Skinny Jean Bonfire”, which they believe to be a more empowering anthem than the original.
Atkins, a professional actress and middle school math teacher, lives in Hollis, Maine with her three kids.
